Professor John Crewdson receives Maundy Money from the Queen

At this strange and uncertain time, it is good to have something to celebrate and we thought you would all like to see these pictures of the Chair of the Trust Board, Professor Crewdson, in receipt of this year's Maundy Money.

Professor Crewdson received an invite to attend the annual ceremony and to meet the Queen at Windsor Castle on Maundy Thursday this year, following his nomination for this very special award.

The Maundy distribution reflects Jesus's instructions to us to love and serve each other and it was no surprise to us that Professor Crewdson was nominated in recognition of his long and distinguished service to the education community in our area and beyond.  Professor Crewdson has made a remarkable contribution to Ripley St Thomas as Governor and Chair of Governors, to the Trust as its founding Chair and to the wider community as a National Leader of Governance.

We are sure that it was somewhat of a disappointment that the award had to be sent in the post but it was no less special for that.  We understand that Professor Crewdson and his wife managed to celebrate in style at home and raised a glass to Her Majesty!

Please join with us in congratulating Professor Crewdson and wishing him well as he continues to work for the good of the young people in our Trust.
