Ripley Scientists win award at Lancaster Guardian & Morecambe Visitor Education Awards

Young Scientist / Young Engineer of the Year Award

Ripley St Thomas C of E Academy enjoyed a night of success on 21st November at the Lancaster Guardian and Morecambe Visitor Education Awards by winning the Young Scientist/Young Engineer of the year award.

The following Ripley pupils took part in the Lancaster University STEM challenge day last year and won the overall competition; the newspaper award recognises this achievement:-

Murray Davey, Maddison Kitching, Gabrielle Cowell, Joshua Lefever, Faith Tyson, Carina Edwards, Jacob More, Martyna Bochenek, Eve Burgess, Siem Berhane, Martha Tulley, Fergus Ripley and Noah Hyde.

Many of the winning team were able to receive the award at the ceremony.  Congratulations to them all and to Mr Menadue and Ripley's Science Department.
