ABOUT THE BAY

THE BAY LEARNING TRUST WAS SET UP IN 2016.

Ripley is a large secondary school in the city of Lancaster with 1750 students, 380 of whom are in the sixth form. The school became an academy in 2011. Ripley has been a Teaching School for some years and is also a SCITT provider (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) and a National Support School. Ripley was graded Outstanding by Ofsted in 2008 and 2011 and has featured in Ofsted good practice guides.

We are delighted that the Governors of Carnforth High School have taken the decision to join us and are currently in the process of converting to be a member of the Trust.

Thank you for visiting our website - I hope the information will be helpful to you. We are a new trust and our website is embryonic at present but will grow quickly over the next few months.

I hope very much that if you are a primary or secondary school wanting to play a part in shaping the future in this area that you will get in touch. I am more than happy to have a chat and talk to you about our hopes and aspirations for the months and years ahead.
